Facilities
Camp Deerpark offers a variety of meeting, lodging and recreational spaces. Our facilities are humble, comfortable and capable of hosting multiple groups. We are excited about several pending improvements to Camp as part of our capital campaign, A Time to Build. In the meantime we do our best to accommodate your group’s specific needs and to make sure your stay is comfortable and marked with the hospitality guests have come to expect from our staff.
Spruce Lodge—in addition to sleeping accommodations for 36 persons, Camp’s main building houses the administrative offices, kitchen/dining hall, and the hallmark living room and front porch where many campers and guests gather informally throughout the year.
Locust Haven—sleeping accommodations for 32 persons; Locust Haven will be removed after new children’s camp cabins are built as part of the “A Time to Build” campaign.
Chapel—allows two groups to meet simultaneously with seating for 80 in the “Faith Chapel” and 60 in an adjacent “Sunroom.” The finished “Basement Lounge” has a fireplace, ping pong and foosball tables and lots of room to relax.
Motels—seven motel units, each with a double bed, bunk beds and a private bathroom, provide comfortable accommodations for families and individuals.
Children's Camp Cabins—six children’s camp cabins with 12 beds and large front porches capable of hosting everything from meals to drama class. The cabins will be close enough to each other to feel like a safe community while providing enough distance for individual group dynamics. These cabins, along with two more for staff, are scheduled to be completed by fall 2010.
Family Cabins—in addition, five family cabins will encourage families to vacation at Camp Deerpark while a child attends summer camp, while they volunteer at camp, or just as a place to get away and meet other families doing the same. The family cabins are scheduled to be completed by fall 2011.
Picnic Pavilion—tucked in the edge of the woods, this octagonal shelter can seat 80 and is ideal for anything from a picnic to a worship service to Bible class at summer camp. Though completely hidden from view from the main campground, the pavilion is easily accessible.
Recreational Facilities—these include a large pool, basketball and handball courts, volleyball, a challenge trail (staff supervision available on request), 3.5 miles of hiking trails and plenty of wide open space for softball, soccer, group games and other activities.
