Summer Camp FAQ

1. What is a typical day at camp like?

A typical day at camp generally includes breakfast, cabin clean up, chapel and classes in nature, bible, art, and others. After lunch the whole camp observes “horizontal hour” before an afternoon of swimming, rafting, or visiting a farm. There might be a cookout or talent feast for supper followed by a club activity, a group game, and a worship service around a campfire. Each day ends with campers gathering with their counselor for devotions and a time of spiritual discussion.

2. How do I register for camp?

To register for camp you must:
-Complete a summer camp registration form from our Summer Brochure
-Have a physician complete the
Camper Physician Form
-Return both forms and complete payment one week in advance. (Late payments will be charged a $50 late fee)
If you have questions, or would like to have a paper copy of the forms mailed to you please contact us. We are always glad to help!

3. What should I bring along to camp?

A swimsuit, a flashlight, a towel, insect repellent, a sweater or jacket, a sleeping bag, sheets (if you don’t have a sleeping bag) and a pillowcase, a Bible if you have one, sneakers and long pants for hiking, a water bottle, old sneakers or water shoes for rafting, casual wear for the talent feast and, most importantly, a positive attitude!

4. What should I not bring to camp?

Your cell phone, Game Boy, PSP, TV, radio, iPod, Discman, MP3 Player, money, jewelry and other valuables

5. Is the food good?

The food must be great, because campers regularly go back for seconds! Our chef plans meals to be tasty, nutritious and kid friendly.

6. Does camp provide transportation from NYC?

Yes. Each week a bus picks up and drops off campers at churches in the Bronx and Brooklyn (see contact info below). Pick up times are Sundays at 3:30 pm (Brooklyn) and 5 pm (Bronx); drop off times are 4 pm (Bronx) and 5 pm (Brooklyn).
