Capital Campaign Progress

Throughout Camp Deerpark’s years of ministry, God's goodness and provision have been readily apparent through the support of loyal volunteers, timely financial gifts and abundant answered prayers. But Deerpark has also seen times of struggle. Limited resources have, in turn, limited the services the camp can provide and the rate at which it has been able to grow.

At this point in the camp's history, new steps forward are needed:

• Aging buildings still double as retreat and children's camp facilities, a difficult and inefficient arrangement.


• Campers miss the small group cabin experience afforded by a more typical children’s camping facility.
• A multi-purpose recreational facility is needed for activity in inclement weather.


• The age and design of facilities create significant operational inefficiency.

Camp Deerpark is currently pursuing a $3.5 million capital campaign, A Time to Build. The scope of the campaign is comprehensive and includes renovating existing buildings and new construction; infrastructure; equipment; endowment; and annual operating budget. As of April 18, 2009, nearly $1,144,587 has been raised toward the campaign goal.
